British designer Jake Phipps graduated from John Makepeace’s furniture design school, Parnham College, in 1999. Since graduating he has been designing and making one-off items to commission but has more recently started designing for the retail market. In April 2007 his patented folding chair, ISIS, was launched by Gebruder Thonet Vienna at the Milan Furniture Fair.
