Day 57 - Don't Skimp On The Shoes
Top quality English or Italian bench-made shoes may seem expensive, but the long service they give you means they're actually better value than mass-produced pairs.
Hand-stitched welt (the ridge where the sole meets the leather upper) means that they're properly waterproof, and you can get hem repeatedly resoled by a cobbler when they need reinvigorating.
